Day 8 Mt. Mckinley Princess Wilderness Lodge
Step off your ship into a waiting railcar for our exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness rail service to the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge for a 1-night retreat. Here you'll settle in with Denali never far from view. Sit and gaze at the majesty of "The Great One" from the lodge's treehouse designed and built by Pete Nelson of Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters. You can choose optional excursions or simply enjoy the grounds of your lovely lodge.
Day 9 Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge
Between our two Denali lodges is some of Alaska's most beautiful scenery. Sightsee by motorcoach to the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. Check in with the Guest Service Desk for help in planning your own Denali adventure. Or you may enjoy the spectacular main lodge, river view deck, and Princess Village with the popular Christmas cottage and sugar shack. Be sure to check out Fannie Q's Saloon, named after a famed local homesteader, or sit outside at a fireside patio.
Day 10 Fairbanks
Explore Denali National Park on a Natural History Tour, watching for glimpses of Denali as well as Denali's "Big Five"; moose, bears, caribou, wolves and Dall sheep. This afternoon, proceed via motorcoach to Fairbanks, Alaska's "Golden Heart" city. Spend the evening immersing yourself in the gold Rush history, Native culture and authentic hospitality of the city.
Day 11 Fairbanks
Take a Gold Dredge 8 tour with the chance to pan for your own gold. Enjoy a hearty miner's lunch before taking a cruise on an authentic Sternwheeler Riverboat down the Chena River. The evening is at leisure in Fairbanks.
Day 12 Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge
Board your motorcoach for a scenic drive to the Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge where you'll spend two nights. The lodge welcomes you with incredible views of Mt. Drum, Mt. Wrangell and Mt. Blackburn.
Day 13 Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge
Enjoy a full day of leisure. Choose from many optional excursions that let you explore America's largest National Park - Wrangell-St. Elias. Step outside to stroll along the Klutina Lake Trail or explore the Copper River Valley - rich in Native Alaskan culture and famous for its legendary red salmon.
Day 14 Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage and get settled in the Hotel Captain Cook for an overnight stay. You might enjoy getting out to see the shops, restaurants and cultural attractions of this surprisingly metropolitan city.
Day 15 Anchorage
Your memorable vacation ends this morning in Anchorage.
